(Development of renewable trays for poultry products, based on biopolymers and bast fibers, 2010 – )

This project aims to develop a fully renewable thermoformed tray and lid for poultry products that offers a shelf life at chill temperatures of 10 days. The TRAYSRENEW concept is based on biopolymers (up to 85%), flax and hemp micro or nanometer scale fibers (up to 15%) and biodegradable additives to modify the overall composite properties.
